According to Philebrity, Rachel Ray will be filming a show – The Great Philly Grill-Off, today at 9th and Passyunk. According to the Inky, Patti LaBelle, and Boyz II Men will be there for the taping.

Getting decent Taco Bell in this city is pretty much impossible. And today, on this rare occasion, I’ll admit that’s one thing Jersey has over Philly. But, if it’s way late and the $5 Taco Box commercial is taunting you, head to any of Drinker’s three locations and hit their Late Night Menu.

From 11pm – 1am, Drinker’s Tavern in Old City, Drinker’s Pub in Rittenhouse and Drinker’s West in U-City will be dishing out $1 tacos and $5 quesadillas. They also have $1.50 hotdogs. Though the cheap eats are the bottom dollar value, you can add-on with upgrades costing from $.25 - $2.

Battle of the Canvas Saturday at the Piazza

Live music, live art, live entertainment, family friendly and free. This is the kind of event that rounds out the summer of 2011 perfectly. On Saturday, August 27, from 12pm – 10pm, The Piazza at Schmidt’s is hosting The Battle of the Canvas, a live art competition where local artists will be creating on site.

There will be djs and bands playing throughout the 10 hour event, food and drinks for sale, and there will even be a kids corner with arts and crafts, animal balloons, face painting and activities.

Artists will not only be creating, but selling their pieces as well.

Penn Treaty's Final Friday Concert & Fireworks

Fishtown’s Penn Treaty Park is back in closing out its Fantastic Friday Concert Series this Friday, August 26, with an end of summer jam session and fireworks.

Taking the stage at 6:30pm for a free show will be Fusebox, an local alt-rock group playing covers of classic and southern rock favorites.

Bring a chair, blanket, snacks and sips and enjoy the free show, followed by a fireworks display over the Delaware river at 9pm.
