Getting a sidewalk table on Rittenhouse Square just got simpler. The usually mobbed sidewalks at Rouge, Parc and Devon will be extended into the street on Saturday, August 13, for an Outdoor Café from 11am – 10pm.
With Rittenhouse Square pushing its boundaries, 18th Street between Locust and Walnut will be blocked off to traffic and the local restaurants will be setting up shop. A portion of the proceeds from the day’s event will go to benefit the Friends of Rittenhouse Square. Food and drinks will be served and there will be live music during the afternoon, from 1pm – 5pm.
At 8:30pm, the Square will join in the Outdoor Movie fun that Philly has been basking in during the past few months for a screening of its own.
Bring a blanket or a chair and find a spot near the 18th and Walnut entrance to see M. Night Shyamalan’s Oscar Nominated film, The Sixth Sense, starring Bruce Willis and Haley Hoel Osment.
