Tackle Bullying with Todd Herremans

Even though the school year is over, the problem of bullying persists around the city. On Thursday, June 23, Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Lineman Todd Herremans will be hosting a “Don’t Mess With Todd” Anti-Bullying Fundraiser at Sugar House Casino from 7 – 10pm. Tickets are $30 each and include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and select complimentary cocktails.

The event will benefit No Place for Hate, a program developed by the Anti-Defamation League to provide a model for challenging bullying and bigotry in communities, schools and college campuses.

No Dollar Bills Needed For The Sugar Express

Like camping out for the new Madden, Philly gamblers have already started to line up alongside Sugar House Casino on Delaware Ave in anticipation of today’s grand opening this afternoon, Thursday, September 21, at 1:30pm. Philly’s most talked about opening of the year has finally come.

But apparently, Sugar House has saved one last surprise for last. No – it’s not a club or really great restaurant. It’s the Sugar Express, the official transportation system and free trolley service that Philadelphia’s first casino unveiled this morning.

The Sugar Express will pick up and drop off around Center City beginning October 1, running from 2pm – 10pm Sunday – Thursday and 4pm – 2am on Friday and Saturday. Pick up locations include Love Park / Suburban Station at 16th and JFK, The Pennsylvania Convention Center at 12th and Market, The Independence Visitors Center at 6th and Market, The Hyatt Penn’s Landing at Columbus and Dock and the final destination on the Center City loop will be Sugar House Casino.
