Yuengling Resurrects Lord Chesterfield For Beer Week

The words crisp, hoppy and great for the summer don’t usually bring to mind Yuengling. But the centuries old brewery is bringing back a time tested favorite with Lord Chesterfield Ale.

Brewed since 1829, the Lord Chesterfield was re-released as a draft last summer for the first time in about 10 years. With five times more hops than the better-known Yuengling Lager, this sleeper is coming out of hibernation. And just in time for Philly Beer Week 2010.

Not only will the beer be available at events throughout the week but Lord Chesterfield himself will be out and about in Philly as well. Yuengling will also be promoting its Porter, Light Lager and Lager with giveaways and appearances by the Yuengling Daughters.

Catch the resurrection of Lord Chesterfield at Opening Tap at 7:30pm on Friday, June 4, at the Independence Visitors Center on 6th and Market Streets.
