Square 1682 Officially Introduces Doggie Brunching to Philadelphia!

Square 1682 at the Palomar Hotel will be launching B.Y.O.D. (Bring Your Own Dog) brunches offering seating for guests and their furry friends every Saturday, throughout its sidewalk café season.

Beginning Saturday, June 25, reservations will be accepted from 11am – 3pm, for the street side seating. As usual, the restaurant will be offering its $10 bottomless mimosas and brunch items with the addition of a dog friendly menu available for eating in or taking out.

Menu items include a terrine made of summer veggies and an organic chicken gelee, a dish of chorizo, wheat germ and egg, a beef tartare with raw egg, cooked rice and carrots and mini hot dogs. (OMG…I love that Philly has finally caught up with New York!)

Doggie dishes will be $4 and are all served with a bowl of filtered Natura water as well as an organic treat from Doggie Style.

Doggie Style and Operation Ava will be partnering with Square 1682, bringing dogs in need of homes to each week’s brunch as well as a doggie kissing booth that will benefit Operation Ava.

“We’re glad that hotels are allowing pets and realizing that pets are part of the family,” said Operation Ava’s Rescue and Adoption Coordinator, Ray Little.

Kimpton is the parent company to both the Palomar Hotel and the restaurant, Square 1682 and properties all over the area under its umbrella are dog friendly, allowing guests to bring their animals with them on stays.
