Bastille Celebrations Continue in Philadelphia

Today is Bastille Day and all around the city Philadelphians will be showing their respect to France on its Independence Day.

Le Bec Fin, Philadelphia’s landmark French restaurant, will host its Annual Sidewalk Festival today, Thursday, July 14, from 11:30am – 9pm. There will be champagne for $7, red or white wine for $6, sweet or savory crepes for $4 and mini pastries for $2.

Inside, Le Bec Fin will be serving a Steak Frites special for $25 per person, including a salad, steak frites and glass of wine during lunch from 11:30am – 2:30pm and dinner from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. There will even be a dj during dinner.

At Bistrot La Minette, another of the city's lauded French bistro's, they will be celebrating their second night of festivities with a four-course Bastille Day French BBQ dinner priced at $35 per person or $50 including a wine pairing. Fairmount will be hosting the Fairmount French Fling Bar Crawl beginning on 21st & Green at The Belgian CafĂ© at 7pm. The crawl will then continue on to the Bishop’s Collar at 24th & Fairmount, Bridgid’s Bar and Restuarant at 24th & Meredith, Fare at 21st & Fairmount, Jack’s Firehouse at 22nd & Fairmount, London Grill at 23rd & Fairmount, Rembrandt’s at 23rd & Aspen and Urban Saloon at 22nd & Fairmount.
