Headhouse Square Indie Film Series


Tonight in Headhouse, catch the 2011 Indie Film Series. Tonight’s screening will be Night Catches Us. Released in 2010, this film is set in race-torn, 1976 Philadelphia and features a score by The Roots. It’s written and directed by Tanya Hamilton and received nominations at both the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and 2011 Image Awards.

Each Wednesday throughout the summer in Headhouse, guest speakers and industry pros like local film-makers, stylists, makeup artists, directors and producers will introduce the night’s feature film at 7:30pm at 2nd & Pine. Tonight, Wednesday, July 20, the show begins at 8pm and don’t forget to bring your own chair.

Both before and after the screening, local South Street businesses are offering specials for those who attended the movie including Steaks on South, Bistro Romano and Headhouse Café. A full listing can be found below.
